1999 Santa and his Mischievous Siberian Huskies the accompanying
scene and story is the second in a limited edition series. Only 11
will be created with one being retained by the artist, one donated
to the Anadyr Siberian Husky team running the 2000 Iditarod as
a fund raiser, and 9 to be sold at a purchase price of $525.00
( U.S. Dollars) The scene has MANY wonderful pieces.
Sleeping Santa with a hand-sculpted, clay head, feet & hands
which are fired & handpainted. Each head is unique yet similar.
Santa stands 14"-15" tall with a handmade soft sculpture
ready to pose body. Santa's is dressed in a hand-knit mohair sweater,
brown wool plaid pants with pockets in his stocking feet.
The Three Miniature Siberian Huskies are handmade & handpainted. One
red/white, one Black/white and One Gray/white. Two are in sitting
position & one is in play position. (Also available as
Alaskan Malamute or Samoyed)
Birch loveseat which includes a cushion & a ultra suede pillow
printed with a running dog team. Santa is reading a "REAL"
hardcover book about dogs. On page 62 is a story of Balto and
the Nome serum run. He has a birch end table complete with a battery
operated lamp of a wolf & raccoon.
There is a "REAL" rock fireplace that doubles as a
incense burner. Fireplace comes with a rusty tin fireplace screen,
a handmade fireplace grate, real birch logs, mantle and a campfire
scented incense. The fireplace has mini battery operated blinking
lights that appear to be a "real" fire. On the mantle
is a painted pewter figurine of a Eskimo on a sled with 2 dogs.
Above the mantle is a log framed canvas print of Santa &
his huskies " Breakin Camp" by Doug Lindstrand of Sourdough
Studio in Anchorage Alaska. Hanging on the mantle are 2 knit stockings
with mini dog treats inside! In front of the fireplace is a braided
rug.
A completely decorated Christmas tree, comes with tree skirt,
electric Christmas lights & HUSKY theme ornaments. REAL husky
fur yarn is the garland.
A short "STORY" is included which makes the scene COME to life. The scene is signed & numbered by the artist.
